This course provides fundamental concepts and challenges of nonlinear analysis along with practical applications through numerical techniques

Course Objectives:

Upon completion of this course, student will be able to:

  • Understand the Basics of Nonlinear Analysis
  • Understand the methodology of Nonlinear solver
  • Understand the methodology of contact convergence 
  • Identify modeling errors that cause models to experience convergence difficulties 
  • Diagnostic and troubleshoot convergence failures
  • Apply the concepts to solve practical applications 
  • To use software as a tool for virtual modeling
